Corrosion Control Coatings Ltd.’s line of TecPlex® steel mill greases made with calcium sulfonate have been developed specifically for use in Steel Mill operations. Theses products are formulated to withstand intense heat while providing excellent protection from the extreme pressures of working with heavy loads in steel processing. They are incredibly resistant to water washout, and in contrast to lithium greases it provides additional protection to equipment during downtime by absorbing water that could potentially corrode bearings and other parts.

TecPlex® 1460 +
TecPlex® 1460 is a Calcium Sulfonate grease developed specifically for use in Steel Mill operations. The product is formulated to withstand intense heat while providing excellent protection from extreme pressures of working with heavy loads in steel processing. This grease is incredibly resistant to water washout, and in contrast to lithium greases it provides additional protection to equipment during downtime by absorbing water that could potentially corrode bearings and other parts. TecPlex® 1460 is similar to TecPlex® 2460, except it has additional oil to improve pumpability... making it ideal for use in centralized systems feeding hard-to-lubricate areas of the mill such as continuously fed caster segments.

TecPlex® 15460 +
TecPlex® 15460 is a calcium sulfonate grease developed specifically for use in Steel Mill operations. This is a slightly softer version of TecPlex® 2460 in order to provide improved mobility in grease applications. Both TecPlex® products withstand intense heat while providing excellent protection from extreme pressures of working with heavy loads in steel processing. This grease is naturally resistant to water washout, but in contrast to lithium greases it provides additional protection to equipment during downtime by absorbing water that could potentially corrode bearings and other parts.

TecPlex® 2460M5 +
TecPlex® 2460M5 is a calcium sulfonate grease fortified with 5% molybdenum disulfide, developed specifically for use in the most extreme Steel Mill applications. The product is formulated to withstand intense heat while providing excellent protection from extreme pressures of working with heavy loads in steel processing. The addition of the moly-based solid lubricant provides an extra layer of protection for equipment that can be prone to seizing due to rapid temperature changes (ladles) or extreme pressures (coiler mandrels).
